Week 37

This time of year is always bittersweet. Everyone is excited about the end of the year but we know we will be missing each other. Over the next week I will try to post more pictures from the year and different events.

Monday - Buhr Pool - Please remember to bring a sack lunch, drink, towel, swimsuit, and sun screen. We will be walking to the pool so students should be sure to have comfortable shoes.

Tuesday - DQ - Students will be allowed to purchase one item at Dairy Queen. We will be walking so students should be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Wednesday - Rolling HIlls - We will be leaving for the pool around 9:30 and returning by 2:30pm. Please remember that students need a sack lunch, drink, towel, swimsuit, sunscreen, and money if they want to purchase a snack. Students can bring quarters to use a locker if they choose.

Thursday - Game Day/Promotion - Students will be allowed to bring in hand held games to play in the classroom. Please remember that if they choose to bring them in, they are responsible for them.

The promotion ceremony will be in the cafeteria beginning at 2pm. There will be a small reception in the gymnasium after. Your child may go home with you or ride the bus. Please let us know if you will be taking your child before you leave with him or her.

Friday is the last day of school. School dismissal is at 11:51 am

Week 36

It's hard to believe that there are only 2 weeks left! There are many events coming up. Please refer to "Important Dates" for all activities.

Thank you! Our Greenfield Village field trip was a success. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to chaperone and everyone who donated $1 or more for the driver.

Baby Pictures - If you have not sent in or emailed a baby picture it isn't too late! Please send them in to me ASAP so they can be part of the final collage and DVD.

Students need to make sure that by this Friday they have accounted or paid for the following:

History Alive Book
Math Student Reference Book
Calculator
Math Template
Scissors

You should have received a list of the cost for each item. Thank you for people who have already taken care of this.

There are a few summer learning opportunities for students. I will post and update links as I find more. Your child can continue to work on Xtramath over the summer. If they pass an objective I will update it periodically.
