It's hard to believe that we are in the last week of April. I've noticed that many of the students have either spring colds or allergies. We are getting a bit low on tissues and wipes. It would be greatly appreciated if you could send some in. Thank you for all of the donations this year!
M-STEP - We are almost done with the M-STEP testing. Social Studies Part 2 is on Tuesday, April 26. Most students have completed all of the other parts. Thank you for the snacks that were sent in to help us through this testing time.
NWEA - Just a reminder that we have NWEA testing on May 10 and May 13. This testing typically takes less time than the M-STEP.
INTERNATIONAL NIGHT IS COMING!!
Come to International Festival Next Thursday: The B/P annual International Festival is right around the corner. This year’s theme is “World Art and Culture Tour.” Come taste foods from all over the world, or learn how to write your name in several different languages. There are wonderful activities for everyone, not to mention a fabulous fashion show put on by our own students, showcasing traditional garments from many nationalities. If you would still like to bring a dish to share or volunteer, we still have room available. please see the sign-up sheet here to help out where you can. We look forward to celebrating our diversity together as one commUNITY on Thursday, April 28, 6:30-8:00pm at Pattengill. See you there!
Classroom books - Many classroom books have been borrowed throughout the year. If your child has any that belong here, either from my classroom or any other, please help them to remember to return them.

Week 28 - April 11 - 15
Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun and safe spring break. The weather is supposed to get warmer so the kids should dress in layers if possible. It is often cold in our room in the morning and very warm by the afternoon.
M-STEP - Our testing begins on Tuesday, April 12. The testing schedule is listed under the "important dates" tab at the top of this blog. There was one change in the schedule, Thursday, April 14. Thank you for the families who have sent in snacks. If you are able to, please send in non-perishable snacks for the students to share during our breaks in the schedule.
6th grade math testing - Our scheduled day was Tuesday, May 3 with the make up day being Thursday, May 5. Due to school being closed on May 3 the dates have shifted. The test will now be on Thursday, May 5 and the make up day will be Friday, May 6.
Friday, April 15 - I will be out of the building all day for a literacy seminar. If you need to communicate with the school for any reason, please contact the office. 994-1961
