Week 25 - March 14 - 18

Daylight Saving Time Tips:
  • Get plenty of sunlight once you are awake. Daylight is a cue to your internal clock to stop producing melatonin, the hormone that makes you feel sleepy.
  • If you're sensitive to the time change, don't over schedule yourself the first few days. Doing too much can make those feelings of fatigue even worse.
  • Be extra careful on the road. The darker part of the day now falls in the morning hours and people may be tired. It's a good time to play it extra safe on the roads.
Camp! - I hope everyone heard plenty of stories about the fun activities that happened at camp. Thank you for trusting us to take good care of your children and give them a great experience. Everyone worked well and pushed themselves to try new things. We hope to be sharing photos soon.

Math - We are wrapping up Unit 5. Students will be taking the final test by the end of the week. Please have your child continue to work on Xtramath or Khan Academy.

Field Trip - We are going to hear the Ann Arbor Symphony on Wednesday morning. If you have not filled out a field trip form for your child, please do this right away. As always we expect students to be respectful, responsible, and safe when representing Pattengill on a field trip.

Tech Night at Pattengill - Come have pizza from 5:30 - 6:30. The technology learning runs from 6-8. Check out the schedule to see what's available. Tech Night Schedule

Read-a-thon - Fifth graders were given an extension for read-a-thon. Please be sure that all tickets and fundraising donations are turned in on Monday morning.
